The Challenge

Keeping clients informed about new events and matter updates in PracticePanther required constant manual tracking and individual outreach. Without an automated communication pipeline, legal teams risked delayed status updates, missed event reminders, and repetitive follow-up communications, leading to an inefficient client update workflow.

What We Did

We engineered a Make.com scenario that monitors PracticePanther for new events and matter changes, verifying records through a custom Data Store before dispatching multi-channel communications.

PracticePanther Event & Matter Monitoring: Automatically polls for new events and cross-references associated matter and contact records on a scheduled interval. Data Store Record Verification: Checks existing records in a custom Data Store to determine whether an event represents a brand-new entry or an updated existing event. Multi-Branch Routing Logic: Evaluates incoming records through dynamic routers to separate paths for new matter events versus updated matter events. Zoho Mail Email Notifications: Dispatches personalized email alerts to clients with full event details based on the evaluated route. Quo SMS Messaging: Sends direct text messages via Quo to notify clients instantly on their mobile devices alongside email updates. Data Store State Logging: Adds or updates records within the Data Store post-dispatch to ensure complete communication logging and prevent duplicate alerts.

The Result

Eliminated manual client communication for event scheduling and matter changes. Clients now receive instant, synchronized notifications across both email and SMS in real time as legal records update in PracticePanther.
