CONVERSION TRACKING

Conversion Tracking Audit & Cross-Domain Analytics Fix for Affiliate Pages

investorbootz suffered from inaccurate analytics caused by redundant GTM containers and broken cross-domain tracking across their affiliate pages. We cleaned up the container architecture, reconfigured conversion events in GA4 and Google Ads, and validated firing tags via Tag Assistant to ensure clean, accurate attribution data.

The Challenge

investorbootz was dealing with unreliable analytics data and skewed conversion reporting across their website and affiliate pages. The tracking setup was cluttered with multiple Google Tag Manager containers firing on the same Framer site, resulting in duplicate event triggers, inflated session counts, and broken cross-domain attribution between main site pages and external affiliate landing destinations.

What We Did

We performed a complete conversion tracking audit and rebuilt the client’s analytics structure to establish clean, reliable attribution data.

GTM Container Cleanup & Streamlining: Identified and removed redundant GTM container instances on the Framer site, consolidating all tag firing logic into a single, clean container. Cross-Domain & Affiliate Tracking Fixes: Re-engineered tag triggers and domain measurement settings in GA4 to ensure seamless session continuity across affiliate page hops. Google Ads Conversion Mapping & Tag Validation: Configured accurate key conversion events for Google Ads and verified tag execution and payload parameters using Tag Assistant.

The Result

Eliminated duplicate conversion firing and data discrepancies, restoring 100% accuracy to key event reporting in GA4 and Google Ads. The marketing team now has reliable traffic source attribution to optimize ad spend and evaluate affiliate page performance confidently.
