Legal Practice Search Ads Restructure & CAC Reduction Strategy

A legal practice faced inflated acquisition costs of $40 per lead due to inefficient keyword bidding and broad audience matching in Google Search Ads. By conducting deep keyword research in Google Keyword Planner and integrating real-time conversion feedback through Zoho CRM, we restructured search ad groups and lowered the client’s CAC to $15.

The Challenge

The client was paying an unsustainable $40 Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) for legal leads due to unrefined campaign structures, broad match keywords, and a lack of CRM integration. Ad spend was rapidly being drained by low-intent clicks, limiting the practice’s ability to scale their advertising budget predictably or acquire profitable cases.

What We Did

We executed a targeted Google Search Ads overhaul, combining deep intent keyword selection with CRM lead tracking to optimize bid management.

Google Keyword Planner Intent Audit: Re-engineered keyword lists around long-tail, high-converting legal queries while eliminating costly, non-converting general search terms. Campaign Restructuring & Bidding Calibration: Transitioned campaigns to Manual CPC bidding with tight ad group segmentation to maximize click CTRs and control cost-per-click across specific legal services. Zoho CRM Conversion Feedback Loop: Connected ad response data directly with Zoho CRM to track lead status and adjust bids based on actual qualified client acquisitions.

The Result

Slashed average Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) from $40 to $15 while bringing average CPC down to $1.16 across 3,100+ impressions. With unit economics optimized and lead quality verified, the campaign is now fully equipped for budget expansion and aggressive market scaling.
